Hillsdale is a family run B and B situated in a quiet location in the heart of Ambleside. All rooms are en-suite with shower and our bedrooms are clean and stylish.We offer a warm and friendly stay. We serve a hearty English or vegetarian breakfast.We also have grapefruit segments, prunes, fruit surprise mix, yoghurt, fruit juice and cereals. Restaurants, shops and pubs are a minute’s walk away. All rooms have flat screen LCD TV's. For that special break, we have a large bay fronted room with king size bed. We have a parking space for each room. Full English and vegetarian breakfasts, using only top quality local produce, are served in our comfortable dining room to set you up for a day's activities -sightseeing, walking or cycling. A warm welcome awaits you at The Anchorage, our conveniently situated guest house, just two minutes' level walk from Ambleside village centre. Each of our centrally heated double rooms is tastfully decorated and comfortably furnished, with lovely view of the fells and surrounding countryside. We also have our own car park which can accomodate all guest cars. Open Christmas and New Year. Our prices start at £26.00 per person for our small en-suite and up to £35 per person for our superior rooms. Buckle Yeat Guest House is situated in the village of Near Sawrey, which is an ideal location for touring the English Lake District and discovering the real Lakeland. Hill Top Farm, former home of the writer,Beatrix Potter is situated almost next door to our guest house. 'Buckle Yeat' is famous for its connections with Beatrix Potter, the cottage being illustrated in the 'Tale of Tom Kitten' and 'The Pie and the Patty Pan' A traditional Lakeland cottage with oak beams,flag floors, and an open log fire in the visitors lounge,spacious dining room and en-suite guest rooms, which are tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind each also have the additional comforts of tea and coffee making facilities, televisions and we also have free Wifi access for guests with their own laptops and a laptop available for guests to check their email and access the internet.
