Built in 1847 the oldest houses in Windermere,The Cottage has recently been awarded the AA Highly Commended certificate, which recognises "exceptional quality"and puts it in the very best ten per cent of 4 Star establishments in the UK". In addition, The Cottage has been given the prestigious "Excellence in Breakfast" Award from the AA. the Cottage guest house is a careful blend of the modern with the traditional. We have retained many of the original features built into the guest house, whilst still providing our guests with modern day comforts. It benefits from a superb position being only a two minute walk from the mainline train and bus stations and with many pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Our aim is to offer high quality accommodation and breakfast. All the rooms have recently been refurbished and have either feature or Four Poster bed. Choose from our extensive award winning breakfast menu of 12 individual dishes. All cooked fresh to order from the highest quality local produce (vegetarians well catered for) and served in our spacious dining room. Kenilworth is a grand 4 star Victorian Guest House built in 1896 and is centrally located in the town of Windermere, a short walk to the local shops, cafes and restaurants.

Many period features have been retained, but under our ownership all of the rooms have been refurbished and redecorated to offer very warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm. We do of course serve lighter or vegetarian alternatives, and all meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is a selection of cereals to choose from as well as grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

We have some private off-road parking and there is ample free parking on Holly Road.

For everyone's safety and comfort we are a completely non-smoking guest house.

Rockside is a quality 4* Guest House, located less than 2 minutes walk from the rail and bus station, which is owner managed by Martin & Caroline Rockside was built in 1847 using traditional lakeland stone,it is a querky property which is full of character and charm.
